Sanctum 3D
10th Feb 2011
Place - Odeon Marble Arch(Possibly the worst cinema ever, the screen was square, there was no legroom or armrest which makes the seats really comfortable and the tickets were £15.00. Complete fucking rip off)
Rotton tomato - 29%
Me - 40%
Plot - Can seven cave divers get out of a huge cave system that is slowly filling with water. They way up is trapped so they had to head down to find a gap by the sea. Pretty much everyone dies apart from one kid. Apparently based on a true story, i think not maybe loosely very! very! loosely based on a true story.
Cast - Richard Roxburgh, Ioan Gruffudd, Rhys Wakefield
Director - Alistair Grierson (Not James Cameron as the poster and trailer make you believe)
Good points - The 3D is Stunning, finally another film where the 3D makes sense. The feeling of claustrophobia is amazing it made me shudder. I was genuinely on the edge of my head holding my hand over my mouth squirming at some moments.
Bad points - The acting and writing is so very shit a baby chimpanzee could have written it and also starred in it playing all the parts and i probably would not have noticed. Ioan Gruffudd is the worst of a bad bunch, Who cast him we can’t act and he can’t do an american accent so WHY???, i know it sounds bad but when his character died i was actually quite happy.
Quote: “The Cave Is Filling Up With Water!!!!” Yes EVERYONE Can See That Please Shut Up
Sum it Up - It could have been so good. Better Writer Needed. 3D definitely make is bearable. I did kind of enjoy it.
